Gabriel is a main character in the Netflix Original, The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself. A powerful and eccentric Blood Witch working sporadically for Mercury, Gabriel befriends, and becomes close with both Nathan Byrn and Annalise O'Brien when he is tasked with delivering the former to Mercury.

Becoming invovled with Nathan is both a difficult and dangerous decision for Gabriel, who usually operates from the shadows. Nonetheless, Gabriel commits to his friendship with Nathan and decides to assist him in his efforts to evade the Fairborn Council and his father, Marcus Edge.

Powers and Abilities

Gabriel is a powerful alchemist and is skilled in the art of brewing potions. Gabriel often misuses his gifts, however, using them to wipe the memories of those he has had relationships with, a practice he frequents whenever the need arises. Nonetheless, Gabriel showed promise in the art of alchemy from a young age, being able to recognise the ingredients in several potions. This eventually led to him falling under the care of Mercury, who believed he was extremly skilled even at a young age.

Trivia

• Gabriel is the first openly gay character introduced in the series.
• In preperation for portrayal of his character, Emilien Vekemans painted his fingers blue for six months. This is attributed to a spell gone wrong, but little else is known.
